The Compassion of Jesus
35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.[e] 36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary[f]and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” -Matthew 9:35-38 NKJV
I am just so moved by the compassion Jesus had and still has for the world and all the people in it. Especially the lost. He came to save us all and there is not one person whom He does not love or would not have come down to earth as a man to save. Jesus gave Himself on the cross for us all. What an overwhelming concept in this day as we try and divide into groups and say our way is the only way. He, Jesus Christ, is the ONLY way to the Father.
If we, today and everyday, could just have a fraction of the love and compassion for others Jesus has. This is my prayer today, change me in a radical way Lord, give me your heart, give me your love and compassion for others so they may know You, and be saved.
May God Bless You Abundantly & Keep You Close to Him,
-Greg
